Structural failure and life prediction

Our research team is planning to propose a life prediction model for materials operating in high temperature/pressure environment. Material behavior and failure mechanisms can be quite different in high temperature/pressure condition than in plain operating condition. So, the material property should be properly modeled suitable for the extreme operating condition. Creep-fatigue interaction is one of the major issues in material failure especially in high temperature condition with repeated loading. We propose a creep-fatigue model required for numerical tests in parallel with the experimental validation. Thermo-mechanical fatigue failure is another topic that should be considered in high temperature operating environment. The thermal stress and thermal strain induced by the heat loading will be included in our simulation process.
