The main goals of our research laboratory are to
(1) develop computational analysis methods for structural design,
(2) advance our understanding on the underlying mechanism of various structures in nature,
(3) establish simulation-driven design and manufacturing processes for engineering applications, and
(4) design new structures/materials with novel mechanical properties.
